Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Meloo language-learning platform (“Service”), operated by Lcommerce Solutions DBA Meloo (“Meloo”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What Meloo Is

Meloo turns Spanish songs into language lessons: synced lyrics, word-level translation, vocabulary flashcards, and quizzes. Music videos play through embedded YouTube players. We do not host or distribute the audio of the songs — YouTube does, and YouTube’s terms apply to the playback itself.

2. Beta Status

Meloo is currently in beta. Features may change, the catalog may expand or shrink, and the Service may go down for maintenance without notice. We’re building this in the open and we appreciate your patience. Joining the waitlist is the easiest way to hear when major changes ship.

3. Pricing

During beta, Meloo is free to use. We have no payment system, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. If we introduce paid plans, existing waitlist members will be notified before any pricing takes effect, and core public-catalog access will remain free.

4. Accounts (when available)

User accounts are not part of the current MVP. When we open them, you’ll be responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for any activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to register.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Try to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Scrape, mirror, or redistribute the catalog content (translations, lyrics, vocabulary annotations) without permission.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm anyone.
• Submit fake or disposable emails to our waitlist.

6. Content & Copyright

Song lyrics displayed in the player are presented for educational and language-learning purposes. We respect copyright law: if you believe content on Meloo infringes a copyright you own, contact [email protected] with the song, your contact information, and a description of the rights involved. We will respond and, if appropriate, remove the content.

Translations, vocabulary breakdowns, contextual notes, and the overall course structure are © Lcommerce Solutions DBA Meloo. They are licensed to you for personal language-learning use only.

7. Service Availability

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime, video unavailability on YouTube, or third-party outages outside our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meloo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, during beta, is zero.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can unsubscribe from the waitlist with the link at the bottom of any of our emails. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Meloo evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version. For material changes (e.g. introducing paid plans), we’ll notify waitlist subscribers by email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you’re a consumer in another jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under your local law that these Terms do not override.
